Which CBD Is Right For Me?
Part 1: Tinctures
When we started Floyd’s of Leadville in 2016 most people had never heard of CBD, let alone the various application methods. As an industry pioneer, CBD education has always been a large part of our mission. We feel it’s important to provide our customers with a resource to find the CBD product that’s right for them. In this three part series we will address the different products and ways to enjoy CBD and incorporate it into your daily routine. Today, we’re going to talk about tinctures.
What is a CBD tincture?
Don’t let tinctures intimidate you. CBD tinctures, or liquid hemp oil, are the most basic method of incorporating CBD into your routine. With only two ingredients, our tinctures contain fresh pressed hemp oil from organically cultivated American farms, and CBD extract, a natural component of hemp oil. Our CBD tinctures are vegan and don’t contain gluten or any additional additives, fillers or stabilizers. Our CBD tinctures are extracted from flash frozen hemp using the latest in ultrasonic technology.
How do I use a CBD tincture?
Our tinctures come in a small, familiar bottle with a convenient dropper built in. While some people use CBD oil as an ingredient in their kitchen, the most efficient way to utilize our tinctures is to place the desired amount of drops, which vary in dosage depending on concentration, directly under the tongue for sixty to ninety seconds. This allows CBD to be absorbed sublingually, which is more efficient process then entering the digestive system.
What does CBD tincture taste like?
Our CBD oil is natural and unflavored. Like the finest olive oils it has a strong herbal, grassy, flavor with a bit of peppery spice on the finish. Some will find that it’s an acquired taste while others enjoy it from their first use.
Will CBD tincture cause me to fail a drug test?
While our full spectrum tinctures contain trace permitted levels of THC below .3%, we recommend that customers who are concerned about ingesting any amount of THC use our isolate products, which contain zero THC. Fortunately, we offer our tinctures in both full spectrum and isolate so you have the power to choose.
How does full spectrum CBD differ from Isolate?
Full spectrum CBD products contain additional non-psychoactive cannabinoids found within the hemp plant, while isolate products only contain CBD, which has been isolated and separated from the other cannabinoids.
Are there other ways to use tinctures?
Yes! CBD tinctures are incredibly versatile. Several drops can be added to your favorite food or beverage to give it a natural CBD boost. CBD tincture oil can also be applied topically directly to any problematic area.
